Jay County Patriots were the first to get on the board in the first when Jozey Shimp hit into a double play, but one run scored. A single by Chloe Brown extended the Jay County Patriots lead to 3-0 in the top of the second inning. Jay County Patriots added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Coldwater Varsity Cavaliers committed an error, and Mallory Winner tripled to center field, each scoring one run. Coldwater Varsity Cavaliers scored one run in the bottom of the fourth on a solo home run to right field by Chloe Frysinger. Jay County Patriots added two more runs in the top of the seventh inning on two hits. Jaelynn Lykins hit a solo home run to right field, and Alivia Klingshirn induced Carley Trinidad to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored. Trinidad earned the win for Jay County Patriots. The righty allowed six hits and three runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out five and walking one. Klingshirn took the loss for Coldwater Varsity Cavaliers. The hurler went seven innings, allowing seven runs (three earned) on 11 hits, striking out two and walking three. Jay County Patriots accumulated 11 hits in the game. Brenna Ruble led Jay County Patriots with three hits in four at bats from the leadoff position. Lykins, Winner, Trinidad, and Brown each drove in one run for Jay County Patriots.
