Norwell jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Cassel hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Johey singled, scoring two runs, Turk drew a walk, scoring one run, Nevenschwander singled, scoring one run, Privett singled, scoring one run, Schamerloh doubled, scoring three runs, and Graft singled, scoring one run. Jay County Varsity Patriots made the score 10-4 in the top of the third inning when Wyatt Foster singled, scoring one run, and Andrew Schemenaur homered to left field, scoring three runs. A single by Privett, a single by Cassel, and a sacrifice fly by Cotton helped Norwell extend their early lead in the third. Kade Sommers took the loss for Jay County Varsity Patriots. The hurler went one-third of an inning, allowing 10 runs (zero earned) on five hits, striking out none and walking five. R Thornton stepped on the mound first for Norwell.
