Fourth-Inning Burst Enough To Lead Park Tudor Varsity Panthers Past Jay County Varsity Patriots By GameChanger Media Park Tudor Varsity Panthers defeated Jay County Varsity Patriots 8-2 on Saturday thanks in part to five runs in the fourth inning. Park Tudor Varsity Panthers were the first to get on the board in the first when Oliver Eve doubled, scoring one run. Park Tudor Varsity Panthers added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after MJ Gaines tripled to center field, and Jay County Varsity Patriots committed an error, each scoring one run. Park Tudor Varsity Panthers scored five runs on three hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Desmond Francis doubled, scoring two runs, Miles Dubie scored after tagging up, Derek Ai singled, scoring one run, and an error scored one run. Austin Myers stepped on the bump first for Jay County Varsity Patriots. The righty gave up three hits and three runs over three innings, striking out three and walking two. Santana Jackson led things off on the mound for Park Tudor Varsity Panthers. The starter surrendered three hits and two runs (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out seven and walking three. Wyatt Foster, Aiden Phillips, and Gavin Byrum each collected one hit for Jay County Varsity Patriots. Carter Fugiett led Jay County Varsity Patriots with one run batted in. Leadoff hitter Gaines led Park Tudor Varsity Panthers with two hits in five at bats. Francis and Eve were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Park Tudor Varsity Panthers.
