The Jay County girls soccer team faced Yorktown tonight for the 1st round of sectional play. The Lady Patriots were victorious with a score of 3-1. They move to 12-4-1 record for the 2025 season, Yorktown being their only tied game for the season previously on 9/25/25. In the 1st half, Aixa Lopez scored the 1st and only goal in the half @ 8:08min left. In the 2nd half, Tessa Frazee took an amazing shot about 40 yards out from the goal and scored @ 25min left. Raylin Hummer scored the 3rd and final goal for the Lady Patriots @ 22:43min left. Yorktown was able to score @10:32min from a free kick due to a penalty from the Lady Patriots outside of the box. Next, the Lady Patriots face Delta for the 2nd round of Sectionals on Thursday, October 9th @ 7pm @ Yorktown Sports Complex. Go Patriots!!!!
